ProAsia Design was founded in the year 2000 by Mike Hollis, an industry luminary responsible for building some of the most well-known dive products on the market.

Hall of fame leadership

After spending years working in the commercial diving industry, Mike Hollis founded Pelagic Pressure Systems in 1980, a preeminent OEM engineering and design firm dedicated to creating innovative dive products for leading scuba brands Oceanic and Hollis.

Mike is responsible for developing some of the most important core technologies that allow dive computers to log depth, dive time, and monitor remaining air pressure which have now become the industry standard.

After capping off his award-winning time at Pelagic Pressures Systems, Mike decided to put his full focus into leading ProAsia Design, bringing 100% of his engineering knowledge, meticulous eye for detail, and dedication to the Asia Pacific.

Mike received the prestigious NOGI Award from the Academy of Underwater Arts and Sciences (AUAS) in 2014 for his contributions to the scuba diving industry in the SPORTS/EDUCATION category. Mike currently sits on the AUAS Board of Directors.
